Position Summary:

We are partnering up with a local client in South East Portland in search of an accoutning coordinator to assist their team with a variety of accounting based duties. This position is a contract to hire role!

Primary Responsibilities:
1: Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
2:May perform student account, database, and file maintenance activities which may include conducting account review; reconciling aging levels; verifying accounts are cleared; performing adjustment and payment; monitoring collection activity and monitoring credit card transactions.
3:Conducts account analysis, reports on findings and coordinates corrective action in accordance with established procedures and policies.
4:May coordinate the direct billing programs by preparing and tracking invoices, processing adjustments to invoices according to established company procedures and guidelines.
5:Coordinates the administrative functions associated with campus business operations. Assists in the preparation of budgets. May maintain the campus petty cash fund.

7:ADVANCE USER OF MIRCROSOFT OFFICE INCLUDING EXCEL AND WORD
8:aBLE TO MULTI-TASK AND ADAPT TO CHANGING PRIORITIES

Job Experience And Requirements:

1:Must have a general of knowledge of accounting as normally obtained through the completion of one to two years work experience and/or the completion of undergraduate college coursework in accounting, finance, business or related field to apply this knowledge to perform the functions listed above. General knowledge of GAAP.
2:Must have the ability to discuss financial information in potentially confrontation settings to bill and collect tuition payments from students or the students' place of employment.

3:Must be familiar in the information technology areas, such as personal software packages and financial software to enter financial data, retrieve data, and present information in a written or spreadsheet form.
4:Must have the ability to follow moderately complex oral or written instructions and communicate technical information to student or to other non-financial department or division personnel.

5:Attention to detail
6:Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

7:High school diploma or equivalent preferred
8:Good reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

9:Strong Excel Skills

10:Previous clerical experience preferred

11:Good organizational and interpersonal skills

12:Working towards Accounting/​Finance degree preferred

13:Sophomore or Junior – Accounting/Finance major, with minimum GPA of 3.0

14:Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
