Chief Accounting Officer Job Description:
Large independent Oil & Gas company is currently looking for a dynamic individual to head their accounting department. This growing company is currently looking for a Chief Accounting Officer to work under the CFO with at least 5 years experience in Oil & Gas.
Primary Responsibilities:
1:Responsible for monthly and quarterly internal business review processes, quarterly and annual SEC reporting and communication materials provided to the Board of Directors
2:Responsible for Subsidiary and Joint Venture accounting and reporting
3:Assists the CFO with planning and evaluation of the fiscal functions and performance of the company.
4:Ensures timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends.
5:Provides financial input on decisions affecting the company such as potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, investments or any contracts into which the company may enter.
6:Directs the preparation of all financial reporting including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
7:Position will supervise Corporate Controller, Financial Analysis & Reporting Manager, Chief Audit Executive and Subsidiaries.
8:Provide financial perspective and input to business leaders to effectively evaluate and execute process or productivity improvement initiatives.
Job Experience And Requirements:
1:CPA with a minimum of 15 years experience.
2:Strong ability to express ideas both written and oral
3:Self Starter & proven leader
4:Strong organization/ analytical and problem solving skills
5:Previous Experience as a CFO in a multi location Manufacturing environment
6:Experience in managing change
7:Ability to multi task and prioritize
8:Strong attention to detail with a roll up sleeves mentality
9:Strong Cost accounting and Cost Controls background.
10:Previous Public Accounting experience Ideally Audit and Internal controls

Bachelors Degree
