Data Processing Manager Departmental Job Description

Ability To Work:

1.a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to one of the employment standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
2. three years of experience performing duties equivalent to a Departmental Data Processing Specialist, Senior with Santa Barbara County in a computer environment with multiple, large, complex systems;
3. one year of experience performing duties equivalent to an EDP Systems and Programming Analyst, Senior with Santa Barbara County;
4. Five years of increasingly responsible systems analysis and design experience, including some supervisory experience;

Knowledge of: principles and practices of supervision and budgeting; negotiation techniques; contract administration; standard English usage and grammar; current technology used for automated information storage, processing, and retrieval; data communication technologies; principles and techniques of computer programming and/or systems analysis; basic principles of database design and office automation; capabilities of available computer hardware, commercial software, and networks; principles of operation systems and graphical user interfaces and related software.
