Additional Qualifications: Candidates assigned to the Community Health Division must have a background in epidemiology and communicable diseases. Independent travel throughout the county will be required. Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.
Thorough knowledge of: the principles and practices of modern medicine and public health
Knowledge of: community resources in medical treatment; California Medical Association, and American Medical Association ethics and standards; medical/legal and regulatory requirements and laws; principles of personnel management; the principles of organizational management and planning.
Job Description: This class is distinguished by its responsibility for managing and directing the day-to-day medical functions of either the Primary Care and Family Health Division or the Community Health Division. It is distinguished from the Public Health Deputy Directors by their responsibility for the administrative and operational management of these divisions.
