EDP COMPUTER OPERATOR I:
1) Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of: the principles of operating medium-to-large scale computers and related peripheral equipment; general knowledge of job control language.
Job Description: EDP Computer Operator I is a trainee class in which incumbents receive orientation and training, and are expected to progress to EDP Computer Operator II, the journey-level class, within a reasonable period of time. EDP Computer Operator II is distinguished from EDP Computer Operator III in that the latter acts in a lead capacity and may be the only operator on a shift.
