Mail Center Supervisor Job Description

Ability To Work:

1. Two years of experience in storekeeping, shipping and receiving, or mail room operations, including lead or supervisory experience; or
2. two years of experience performing duties equivalent to the class of Mail Center Worker, Senior with Santa Barbara County; or
3. equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.

Knowledge of: inventory control practices; principles and practices of supervision; safe work practices related to lifting, moving heavy objects, and driving.


Job Description: This is a single-position, working supervisor class that reports to the Purchasing Manager. It is distinguished from the class of Mail Center Worker, Senior by its responsibility for supervision of staff and scheduling of mail and other services.


About Salary: $17.72-$21.63 every hour / $3,081-$3,762 monthly / Range: 5096

Definition: Under general direction, plans, organizes, supervises, and participates in the operations of the Mail Center, including: central mail and document insertion, messenger/delivery service, and surplus property functions supporting all County departments; and performs related duties as required.
