1. One year of skilled painting experience; or,
2. two years of experience performing duties equivalent to the class of Building Maintenance Worker II with Santa Barbara County that included skilled painting work; or,
3. a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to one of the employment standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Additional Qualifications: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License may be required.
Knowledge of: tools and methods of painting; rigging and scaffolding; repair methods and maintenance practices for structures, furnishings, and equipment; arithmetic sufficient to calculate time, labor, and quantities of materials needed; work safety practices.
Job Description: This class is distinguished from the Building Maintenance Worker series by its emphasis on skilled painting. However, incumbents in this class may routinely perform building maintenance and repair duties not related to painting, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cement work, heating, welding, and roofing.
About Salary: $18.51-$22.60 every hour / $3,219-$3,930 monthly / Range: 5184
