1. Two years of broad construction experience and general maintenance of structures, equipment and utilities; or,
2. equivalent combination of training, education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of: general principles of construction, plumbing and electrical work; operation of common types of light to heavy equipment used in construction and landscape.
Job Description: This class is distinguished from the Maintenance Leader by regular assignment in the Parks Department and by park and beach maintenance only. This class may occasionally operate or supervise the operation of light to heavy equipment. Operators of heavy equipment on a continual basis are not assigned to this class.
