1. One year of general office experience involving public contact in a medical office; or,
2. a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of: medical terminology utilized in medical billing; current office practices and procedures; and basic math.
Job Description: This classification is distinguished from Patient Representative by the greater emphasis on collection responsibility, and by the absence of admitting duties other than on an occasional basis. Adequate performance at this level requires initiative in assembling data, mature decision making in analyzing facts, and enterprise in collecting accounts or in negotiating settlements.
About Salary: $14.15-$17.28 every hour / $2,462-$3,005 monthly / Range: 4646
