Ability To Work:
1. Five years of experience operating high-speed copiers and offset printing equipment, including experience in pre-press setup and platemaking, offset press operation, and post-press bindery operations; or,
2. one year of experience performing duties equivalent to Offset Equipment Operator, Senior with Santa Barbara County; or
3. equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of: equipment, production techniques, and procedures utilized in a full service printing and copying operation; various types of offset printing equipment and processes; graphics processes; auxiliary printing equipment such as collators, binders, and plate makers; safety practices associated with operation of offset printing equipment; principles of customer service; English grammar and usage sufficient to prepare documents such as performance evaluations and justifications for new equipment; basic arithmetic.
Reprographics Supervisor Job Description: This is a single-position class reporting to the EDP Network and Operations Manager, in which the incumbent is responsible for supervision, direction, staffing, and operation of centralized Quick Copy and Offset Printing operations. It is distinguished from the Senior Offset Equipment Operator in that the Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervision and counseling of staff, as well as budgetary and other administrative duties related to the Reprographics unit. The Senior Operator is responsible for providing training and technical support to other staff and for basic shop operations.
Reprographics Supervisor Salary: $21.82-$26.64 every hour / $3,795-$4,633 monthly / Range: 5514
Definition: Under direction, plans, organizes, and supervises the operations of the County's centralized Quick Copy and Offset Printing sections; acts as the primary contact with customer departments in areas of capability, cost, scheduling, and customer service; and performs related duties as required.
