1. Minimum of four years of public relations and administrative experience involving sensitive public issues; or,
2. a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Additional Requirements: Independent travel throughout the County is required. A valid California Class C Driver's License is required. Willingness to work unusual and sometimes long hours is required.
Knowledge of: public relations methods related to public speaking, news media and community organizations.
Job Description: Positions assigned to this class are exempt from Civil Service and serve at the pleasure of a member of the Board of Supervisors or the County Administrator. The Executive Staff Assistant assists a Supervisor or the County Administrator in all areas of County responsibility and has regular contact with the media.

attends community meetings as the Supervisor or the County
Administrator's representative; receives, researches and responds to

County Administrator; and performs related duties as required.
