1. three years of increasing-responsible professional experience in working as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist; or,
2. two years of experience performing duties equivalent to the class of Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Senior, with Santa Barbara County; or,
3. equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities, and license.
Knowledge of: standardized, routine, and special tests in hematology, serology, toxicology chemistry, urinalysis, bacteriology, and blood matching and grouping.
Job Description: This class is distinguished by its overall administrative responsibility for an entire laboratory, in contrast to Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Senior, or Forensic Toxicologist, which supervises a section, or sections of the laboratory.
About Salary: $36.33-$44.35 every hour / $6,319-$7,714 monthly / Range: 6536
Definition: Under general direction, plans and coordinates the
activities of an approved laboratory in which are preformed a
variety of routine and specialized tests and analysis of body fluids
and substances to provide data used in the diagnosis and treatment
of disease or in legal proceedings; performs related duties as
required.
