Ability To Work: Possession of a valid California State Certification as a Public Health Microbiologist and four years or more of satisfactory experience as a microbiologist in a public health laboratory.
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.
Knowledge of: the biological sciences; knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and techniques used in a public health laboratory; knowledge of the laws and regulations governing public health laboratories.
Job Description: As Head of the Public Health Laboratory, incumbent functions within the Health Care Services Department and is primarily responsible for the Laboratory's mission to provide an effective medical and environmental testing service to aid physicians and sanitarians in the control and prevention of disease.
About Salary: $36.33-$44.35 every hour / $6,319-$7,714 monthly / Range: 6536
