1. Two years of experience operating offset presses and related equipment; or,
2. equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of: basic methods and procedures used in offset and photocopy processes; camera assisted aqueous plate, gammalith, and megaplate production; inventory and stock receiving procedures; cleaning and preventive maintenance procedures related to offset printing equipment.
Job Description: Offset Equipment Operator is the experienced journey level class. Offset Equipment Operator is distinguished from the Offset Equipment Operator, Senior, by the latter's responsibility to lead and train other workers, schedule and oversee the production of work within the Reprographics division, and the responsibility for coordinating and performing required maintenance actions.
About Salary: $15.24-$18.60 every hour / $2,650-$3,235 monthly / Range: 4794
Definition: Under general supervision, operates offset printing
equipment, high speed copiers, camera-ready processors, plate-making
equipment, and various post-press bindery equipment; and performs
related duties as required.
