1. three years of experience performing a variety of diagnostic radiological procedures; or,
2. three years of experience performing duties equivalent to Radiologic Technologist with Santa Barbara County; or,
3. equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge, abilities, and registrations.
Knowledge of: anatomy; physiology; physics, electricity, and related physical sciences as applied to radiological techniques; positioning techniques and placements for radiological exams; safe work practices and safety regulations as they relate to radiological services.
Job Description: This class is distinguished from the Radiologic Technologist by its emphasis on supervision of subordinate radiological and clerical personnel, performance of administrative tasks, and assumption of overall responsibility for the integrity, quality control, and performance of the Radiology Service. The primary emphasis of the Radiologic Technologist class is on the performance of radiological examinations.
About Salary: $23.73-$28.97 every hour / $4,127-$5,038 monthly / Range: 5682
Definition: Under general direction, plans and supervises the
work of technical and clerical personnel in the operation of an
outpatient Radiology Service at multiple County clinic locations;
and performs related duties as required.
