Ability To Work:
1. 2 years of fully responsible clerical experience with two years if supervisory experience over clerical staff processing legal documents or two year performing the full range of duties equivalent to Santa Barbara County's Recorder Division Supervisor; or,
2. equivalent combination of training, education & experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, & abilities.
Education: A two year degree from an accredited college or university is desirable.
Knowledge of: state laws, policies & procedures associated with county recorder administration; recording indexing techniques; practices & principles of personnel management & supervision; management & records management principles & practices; budget techniques & practices; statutes concerning the adoption, collection, & distribution of recorder & vital statistic fees & charges.
Job Description: This is a single position class responsible for effective organization of all County Recorder Division activities. The incumbent is a second level supervisor coordinating staff activities in recordation, indexing, storage & retrieval of legal documents.
Definition: Under administrative direction, designs, supervises, & administers the Recorder Division activities of the County Clerk-Recorder's-Assessor Department; & performs related duties as necessary.
