Recycle Worker Leader Job Description

1. Four years of experience coordinating the movement & storage of recyclable materials or products, including the operation of heavy equipment; or,
2. five year of experience performing duties equivalent to the class of Recycle Worker II with Santa Barbara County, including the operation of heavy equipment; or,
3. any combination of training, education & experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, & abilities.

Ability To Work:

Possession of a valid Illinois Class C driver's license.

Knowledge of: the operation & process maintenance of light & heavy equipment; recycling equipment, vehicle & heavy equipment safety practices; methods for processing recycling materials; basic recordkeeping.


Job Description: This is the lead worker level in the series. This class is distinguished from Recycle Worker II by being regularly assigned to lead the work of a recycle crew, coordinate the movement of recycling materials in to & out of the recycling center, & operate heavy equipment. This class is distinguished from Heavy Equipment Operator by the latter's primary assignment to operate heavy equipment.

Skill in: operating recycle equipment & heavy equipment.

 

About Salary: $22.51-$27.48 every hour / $3,914-$4,779 every month / Range: 5576
