1. Two years of experience interacting with the public that involved the enforcement of rules and regulations; or,
2. a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Additional Requirements: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License upon appointment. Must successfully complete a P.C. 832 course as a condition of passing probation and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge of: general principles and practices for enforcement of rules or laws; standard English usage and grammar.
Job Description: This class is distinguished from other compliance or enforcement classes by its responsibility for the enforcement of refuse and vehicle abatement codes and ordinances, as well as the remediation of illegally dumped materials.
About Salary: $19.77-$24.13 every hour / $3,438-$4,198 monthly / Range: 5316
Definition: Under general supervision, enforces County refuse
codes and vehicle abatement ordinances including investigating
complaints, preparing appropriate reports, and collaborating with
affected property owners and agencies to achieve compliance;
performs other related tasks as assigned.
