Ability To Work:
Transportation Planner I
1. Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, transportation planning, or a closely related field; or,
2. equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
Knowledge of: principles and practices of transportation engineering and planning; standard English grammar and usage.
Job Description: Transportation Planner I is the entry-level professional class in which incumbents receive close supervision and training and are expected to progress to the journey-level classification of Transportation Planner II within a reasonable length of time. Transportation Planner II is distinguished by incumbents' independence and responsibility for projects of greater complexity. These classes are distinguished from the Planner series by the specialization in transportation engineering and planning.

$28.11-$34.32 every hour / $4,890-$5,969 monthly / Range: 6022
Transportation Planner II (#7464)
$32.65-$39.86 every hour / $5,679-$6,933 monthly / Range: 6322
Definition: Under supervision (I) or general supervision (II), performs professional transportation engineering and planning work; and performs related duties as required.
