Dadiology department manager's duties and responsibilities

Upgrade, redefine, and develop policies, SOP's, handbooks, and other guidelines

essential to the operation and continuous improvement to the department on a

quarterly basis.

Notify, maintain, and supply administrators, department staff, and area employees

with recommendations, changes, and exchanges of information within 48 hours.

Manage supervisors, employee training, development, and area assessment of weekly

DPA's, weekly progress meetings, and standards set in orientation

handbook/departmental policies. Identify, investigate, and follow up on complaints,

problems, and situations that arise on a daily basis within a 24-72 hour time frame.

Dadiology department manager's skills and abilities: 

Three years progressive experience in a hospital setting with one year of supervisory

experience.

General PC familiarity, (basic understanding of Word, spread sheet and ability to

learn site specific information systems).

Able to communicate and work well with both internal and external customers of the

department

Education needed for radiology department manager job descriptions:

Require organizational, analytical and communication skills generally acquired

through completion of a bachelor degree program or accredited two-year radiologic

technologist program.

Experience:

Require three years progressive experience in a hospital setting with at least one

year of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination or relevant education
